[Photoshop] How to change the cloudy sky to a beautiful blue sky?

Aloha!

How are you all? This is my first blog post in a while.

The year 2020 has a very interesting year. Since March, we have experienced a lot of postponements of the wedding and large events, but instead I started to receive other types of projects, including fashion shoot for a Japanese and local companies, video productions for a musical group and coffee farm in the Big Island, and more elopement, family, engagement, maternity shoots as well! It’s been fun as well that I started to offer online and in-person photography lessons for hobbyist and aspiring professional photographers! I also started to take videos of how I edit and post on my YouTube channel.

Here is the most recent video I recorded when I was editing Chastity and Jon’s elopement wedding photos. They came from Oklahoma to have their intimate elopement wedding ceremony in the east Oahu. One hope they had for the shoot was to have great weather to show the beauty of the location, with blue sky and blue water. The weather on that day was perfect! It was literally perfect because sometimes it was sunny and sometimes it was overcast so we didn’t have to sweat as much, but we got to have an amazing background at the same time when the sun peaks out. So naturally, some of my shots had nice sky, and some didn’t. For smaller packages as what they get, I share the unedited photos with the couple then they will choose which photos to be received. Some of the photos they chose unfortunately didn’t have the good blue sky. So, I decided to edit a bit longer to get the better outcome in those photos, by swapping the skies to make the final photos have great sunny skies.
